StoreReady - Contents Protection

*This only applies to self-storage customers that have chosen to take out StoreReady contents protection.

How does StorReady contents protection work?
StoreReady is an enhancement of our contractual liability which forms part of our Licence Agreement.  It enables us to provide compensation up to the declared value of your Goods should they suffer loss and/or damage during storage.

Once we receive your valuation for your Goods, we can confirm the additional charge for including you under our StoreReady product.

 

If you decide not to proceed with StoreReady you must provide evidence that you have in place insurance to cover your Goods whilst they are being stored in line with Clause 31. of our Licence Agreement and in the event they are lost and/or damaged our total liability will revert to a maximum of GBP 100.

 

In common with a policy of insurance StoreReady is subject to a set of terms and conditions.  Not all Goods can be included under StoreReady and in certain circumstances claims may be limited or excluded.  These terms and conditions are fully set out within our StoreReady Addendum which will be provided at or before the point of sale prior to the commencement of your storage contract with us. 

 

The advantages of taking out StoreReady rather than a separate insurance policy are that:

 

(a)     the amount of any claim paid by you will generally be lower than the excess you pay under an insurance policy

 

(b)    any claims you make will not impact on your future insurance premiums which might well be the case if you arrange your own insurance policy and a claim results

 

(c)     StoreReady continues seamlessly throughout the period of storage so long as you continue to stay up to date with payment of the StoreReady charges 

 

(d)    any claims under StoreReady will be handled by our insurers claims adjusters who are experts in this field

 

(e)     StoreReady is a direct contractual arrangement between us making the process more straightforward.

It is important that you understand this relationship and familiarise yourself with the StoreReady Addendum from Reason Global Insurance Ltd.
